the tree will be indoors it can be in full light but it gets hot with the light entering. i have a veriety that i ordered, tropical, pine, maple, and cypress

You mention that your tree will be grown indoors. Pine, maple and cypress are all outdoor trees and cannot be grown as indoor bonsai. Stick with the tropicals such as ficus, serissa, or scheffelera. I’m not sure if seeds are available for most tropicals, but they are easy to find as starter plants or finished bonsai.

The type of bonsai tree you choose should be compatible with the conditions you need to raise it in.

Is it going to be an indoor plant? Or outdoors? If indoors - you should choose a tropical tree, one that does not require the dormancy of winter to survive. Where are you going to keep it? Will you have access to full sun? Or is your house rather light poor? In which case, you should pick a tree that tolerates low-light conditions.

Keep in mind that nearly any tree or shrub can be grown as a bonsai. So to pick the best one for you - you need to narrow down the field a little bit. Also ask yourself if you want one that flowers, or an evergreen, etc.
