It's called Kumquat. In Cantonese, Kum means gold, and quat means orange.

Cumquats, citrus with edible rind. Just about any tree/shrub can be bonsaied.

Could be what is known locally as a Jerusalem Pepper . They grow and look like a bansai. The peppers are orange but not edible.
