    Oh, now you decided …
Oh, now you decided to say something, when someone else agrees with me. All I did was ask some simple questions. “Your acting like this guy is your boyfriend or something”, oh how witty….. You just focus on getting some and don’t worry about my tone, which you can hear over the net, right? Maybe if you focused the amount of energy you waste on little trees on then you could of got laid by now. Don’t drop all this knowledge on little trees then try and act tough, Green thumb got.

    I don’t know why …
I don’t know why your using that tone with me I just answered your question. Your acting like this guy is your boyfriend or something. Moreover It’s not that hard to tell if a shrub has been pruned to look like a bonsai or if a tree has been in training for several years. With that said there is nothing wrong with this guy is doing and it’s a legit start to making a bonsai but the reason people are saying it’s not “real” is because it still needs training.

    Yeah true …
    Yeah true …

    Oh, sorry Mr. …
Oh, sorry Mr. Miyagi, BONSAI!!!! I bet if he hadn’t shown you how he made it and showed you the end product you would think it was a real BONSAI.

  6. Skaboss241 Says:

    that’s exactly what …
that’s exactly what i thought i’m sure that tree didn’t last very long!

  7. Skaboss241 Says:

    first of all its …
first of all its not Bonzai its Bonsai and its not i believe he says it’s not a “real” Bonsai since Bonsai is a name that really reserved for plants that have been trained for a number of years as apposed to this one which was made in 1/2 an hour. This tree is what you would call Pre-Bonsai.

    i agree!

    I was just …
I was just wondering, how is this not a real Bonzi tree? Is it not real because it wasn’t grown from a seed by the guy? I mean it’s a juniper tree that’s little and it’s being made to look like a little tree. So it’s a bonzi tree right?

I just got one for x-mas, I am terrified that I’m going to kill it, how often should it be watered? Do I still have to prune it, cuz when I got it it is already a bonsai Juniper tree?

  14. zzzxppix Says:

    one thing that …
one thing that concerns me about this vid … the soil ,, you dont use potting soil with a bonsai … potting soil holds too much water and will rot the roots … i also wonder if that juniper in the vid is still alive ??? id bet its dead … its too bad ,, people now days just dont take the time to know what they are doing … if you want to really have a bonsai tree ,, please read a book or two then join a club .. its the olny way to really understand what your doing and why …

It’s easy to make a bopnsai forest, just don’t use this method. He didn’t create a bonsai. He just pruned a junpier down and stuck it in a bonsai pot. For a forest use an odd number of thin straight trees or older seedlings. They should be trained correctly and they need to be added to the pot in a certain order. Too long to mention here. But Google “Bonsai forest” and you may get good directions. HTH

Biasa199, you need to do a little more reading before spreading your “knowledge.”

    Yes it is def …
Yes it is def easier to grow all the same trees but with proper lighting and water you can grow different ones. If you need anymore help iexploreracoons, just contact me.

  20. wderwder Says:

    That’s not really …
That’s not really true. If you just wired a bonsai it would eventually bend the wiring out the continue to grow. But training a bonsai is HARDY just wiring. You wire it, you trim the roots so it can’t grow at such a rapid rate, and you cut/pinch back new growth. It is a constantly evolving art and an ABSOLUTE failure if you wanna go buy one and just throw it out on the patio.

    Seriously, google ” …
Seriously, google “how to bonsai tree” and read the first five sites that you find…not a very hard process, obviously all these people who are showing you how ignorant you are did it…so save us the aggravation of arguing with you and read up…and by the way the whole idea of bonsai trees is actually growing them to the desired shape/size, not going and picking out a huge tree and trying to make it tiny…

  22. jptj24 Says:

    You just have to …
You just have to select the trees you’ll use, but choose the SAME trees, because if you choose different species, later on one will domain the others. Then you just have to plce them in a big pot and ttry to vary in the size and shape of the trees, finally you can hold them to the pot with some wire. Add some moss and it’s finished.

    i want to group …
i want to group some bonsai trees together like i want to make a mini-forest, so how can i do that? can i use this method here but just get smaller plants?

  24. usowantme52 Says:

    And for those who …
And for those who say you train a bonsai. It is impossible to train a plant tree etc.
It will grow naturally around its restrictions and will react to normal problems a tree will face. But yes you can direct its growth to certain places but no it is not training the bonsai.

  25. usowantme52 Says:

    Biasa199 you are …
    Biasa199 you are wrong.
I myself coming from japanese heritage and my family and extended family creating Bonsai know that “bonsai” is not a plant species. a bonsai can be grown from an ordinary plants seed. As my father in his childhood grew a Japanese maple into a bonsai from pruning roots (rarely as u need to give it time to revive) and foliage/branches. It is now about 43-46 years old and blosseming.
