Posted on August 23rd, 2009 by Jon Brown in bonsai tree |

I have a chinese elm but i’m afraid it’s dying. I recently gave it some fertilizer specifically for a bonsai tree but there are no leaves on it! I let it dry out for a few days too and watered it this morning but i don’t think it will help… Please help me!

Did the leaves fall shortly after you fertilized? If so, you may have given it too much, or in too high a concentration, and "burned" it with an overdose.

If the branches are flexible, it may still be alive. Patience may see it put out a new set of leaves in time. If they are brittle and snap, the branches have died.
